Introduction
Department of Geophysics and Space Science belongs to the Institute
of Geography and Earth Sciences, Eötvös University, Budapest.
At present, the department is in charge of the curriculum
of geophysics
major but lectures on geophysics are also given in other
fields of environmental physics and earth sciences.
The department is in close relationship with
the Space Research
Group funded by the Hungarian Space Office.
Our research area covers the physics of Earth
and the space around the Earth, applied geophysics, petroleum
and raw material exploration, environmental physics and space
research.
